What to say, if anthing at all.

God has given me people in my life to love. To take care of and to be a sister. Some more then others.
When they tell me their life story, broken and dis-functional or a combanation of all sorts, I am at a loss of what to say. I want to make things all better. I want to hug them and tell them it's all going to be okay.
I know God feels the same way.
I know that I can be a sister and a friend to the people God puts in my life. But what do you say to a friend that has a mother in rehab, a father who is with another woman and they are living with their grandparents that are always trying to bring them down? What do you say to a friend that found her fiance cheating on her and then gets in a car accident a few weeks later?
I don't know what to say or if I should say anything at all.
God keeps on telling me, "Just love them".
One of my friends posted this on face-book a few days ago. I found it today while checking my mail.

1 Corithians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Rainbows

My 5 year old niece has a knack for finding things. She can spot all the horses in an "I Spy" book with no problem. She wins every time we play "Find the American flags along the road while we drive" game and she spots all the rainbows. She found this one.

Abstract Plant

i'm not sure what type of plant this is but it held still long enough for me to take a picture of it.
This picture was taken just after it rained.
